Keeping families connected through Mini Music Makers
NYCOS Mini Music Makers is inviting young children to enjoy musical sessions with family members they can’t see in person.

Tribute to Richard Chester

Open Letter: Get Scotland Singing Again
NYCOS was a signatory to an open letter sent to Fiona Hyslop MSP, Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Fair Work and Culture on 30 June 2020.
Wee Summer Sing
Wee Summer Sing, starting Monday 1 June, is a completely free project for children aged 5–8.
Recent BBC Appearances
NYCOS choirs have featured on two Reflections at the Quay broadcasts whilst ‘Cantos Sagrados’ was featured as album of the week on BBC Radio Scotland Classics Unwrapped.
Over the Rainbow
On Thursday 30 April, NYCOS singers and staff across the country joined with members of Music Education Partnership Group in singing Over the Rainbow in support of the NHS and all keyworkers.
Album Release: Cantos Sagrados
Conducted by Christopher Bell, the National Youth Choir of Scotland is joined by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for the premiere recording of ‘Cantos Sagrados’ in the orchestral version.
Mini Music Makers moves online
NYCOS Mini Music Makers classes have moved to online following a successful run of trial sessions.
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
All NYCOS activities and events are to be suspended from Tuesday 17 March until Sunday 19 April.

Bachtrack has released its annual Classical Music Statistics for 2019 from almost 35,000 performances worldwide.
