Allan Wright

Allan Wright is passionate about all aspects of the human voice. Born in Northumberland and now located in France, his love for all things vocal began at a very young age when he saw his first musical. He went on to study both music and phonetics (with a specialism in voice function) and currently works as an international voice coach delivering practical, evidence-based training all over the world.

Previous director of the voice department for two prestigious performing arts schools in Paris (IFPRO and Studio International), he now runs le chanteur moderne, a government-approved training organisation that delivers courses in practical, evidence-based technique for singers of various styles (musical theatre, pop, RnB, heavy metal, folk) and functional pedagogy for singing teachers of all styles and speech therapists. He also plays traditional fiddle and is not shy of a slice of victoria sponge.
