Morag Campbell, NYCOS Chief Executive, was on Scotland Tonight talking about the importance of music education and the benefits it brings to young people.
The interview, alongside Ken Cunningham, is in light of recent threats to music instrument tuition funding from Scottish local authorities: Midlothian council has proposed cutting all musical instrument tuition in its schools (bar those who are studying for Higher or National five exams in the subject). Moray Council has also proposed an increase in charges to the highest in Scotland.
WATCH: The Chief Executive of @NYCOScotland says that music tuition can change lives even as budgets are squeezed for local councils, but as Ken Cunningham explains, the problem is finding a way to fund it.
