NYCOS has released two singles on Signum Classics featuring the National Youth Choir of Scotland and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
Released on St Andrew’s Day, the National Youth Choir of Scotland, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and conductor Christopher Bell perform Hugh S. Roberton Westering Home. Recorded in 2017, the work is a favourite of the choir from over the years having previously featured on the 2002 recording of traditional Scots songs. This special St Andrew’s Day release also includes the traditional work, Air Fa La La Lo.
This is the third NYCOS release on Signum Classics this year, following an Independence Day release and acclaimed Cantos Sagrados album. A further Christmas release will follow in December.
